2017 Bloody Mary

  • Congratulations to all the IBRSC sailors competing at this year's Bloody Mary pursuit race at Queen Mary Reservoir last Saturday, and particularly to Paul Playle who finished an impressive 18th out of 287 entries.

    53rd Tom Williamson - Topper

    94th Gareth Griffiths - RS Aero9

    217th Mike Storey - Laser EPS

    DNC - Douglas Clow/Ian Hamilton - RS400

    OCS - CJ Cavallari/Uta Greisenbach - RS200

    What little wind there was had faded to a zephyr by the time the faster classes were starting and the early starters could not be caught, not even by two impressive Thames Raters ghosting around at twice the speed of anything else. Fireflys with very young crews were 1st and 2nd and a Solo was 3rd.
